New Vision. New Logo. New City.

Can you believe that City on a Hill began over 10 years ago? We are thankful for the amazing projects that God has led us to create. We are humbled by the stories of personal transformation we receive every week. God is incredibly faithful and He’s allowed us to play a small part in His perfect plan.
For the past 5 years, God has been leading us on a crazy journey. God has been guiding us into an exciting future that we can’t wait to share with you. We’ll be unveiling the full details soon, but as we continue to prayerfully walk through them, we wanted to ask you to join us in prayer.
Today, there are three exciting things we want to announce:
A NEW VISION
At City on a Hill, we have always been passionate about speaking directly to the heart (through story) in a highly-relevant way (Media) to share Jesus.
Today’s mainstream culture doesn’t really care for Christians. They mock, stir doubt, and even attack Christianity, often in the name of equality, freedom, and love. There’s a disconnect. Christians are fought on the battlefield we created and many of the shots are fired through media.
For younger generations especially, this is becoming a source of confusion and doubt that’s lead to an abandonment of their faith and even feelings of hatred towards Christians.
Mainstream media heavily outweighs Christian media presence. There are Christian leaders hard at work to influence culture for Christ, but they are often a drop in the ocean. But God uses that. God is at work. And God is guiding us into that vision.
We want our culture to develop deep community with God and others. We want to fearlessly confront questions and doubts. We feel like we can do this by creating media, films and Bible studies that are based on three main values: Relevant, Faithful and Creative.
We want to create resources that are so accessible, they can be accessed and shared by anyone. Maybe we won’t reach the people who hate Christians, but maybe you can if we give you the right access to the right video.
This isn’t a gigantic leap for us, but it is an intentional shift in our focus and you’ll start to see some changes that will reflect this.
A NEW LOGO
One of those changes is a new logo. We wanted a logo that was cleaner, more modern, and more identifiable on our evolving technology platforms. We also wanted to incorporate a lot of symbolism into the icon so that it would be a reminder to us of what we do, why we do it, and how we do it.
We loved the idea of playing off of the number three. A group of three speaks to the communal aspect of what we do. Three also speaks to our desire to engage the heart, mind, and soul.
We also identified the three main values of City that all work together to influence our culture with the Gospel.
RELEVANT | We engage the heart and mind by addressing relevant issues and tough questions.
FAITHFUL | We help people think deeply, grow personally and connect consistently with God by discovering, discerning and submitting to his word.
CREATIVE | We uphold high artistic standards that creatively convey restorative stories in a shareable way.
You’ll also notice the hidden play button right at the center of our logo because video is central to our work. This is our bread and butter and always will be. Through video and studies we want to be a tool in your sanctification process. Hence the dark to light color gradient.
A New Website
We’re excited to launch a new, faster, cleaner website. This site will unite our store functionality, blog, and info all in one place. The website you’re seeing is just the beginning. We’ll continue developing and refining this site in the months to come, so keep checking back regularly.
Also, new to this site, is a Members section. City on a Hill members receive 10% off their orders and access to exclusive free content. You can join here (it’s free).
Please join us in praying as God guides us into an exciting new vision. As we mentioned, this is just the beginning. We are still prayerfully refining new projects and approaches that will better achieve the work God has called us to.
We’re thankful to have amazing partners like you that help us do the work God has called us to. We hope you’re as excited about these announcements as we are. If you have any questions, please share them below or contact us. We love hearing from you!
